Experience

We are dedicated pet owners for over 15 years and currently have five wonderful dogs. Through our personal experience with dogs, it has inspired us to provide a local pet taxi service to help other pet owners. We know firsthand how important it is to have reliable and safe transportation for our furry companions, whether it’s for a trip to the vet, grooming appointments, or doggy daycare/boarding. We approach every ride with the same care and attention that we give our own dogs, ensuring that each pet feels comfortable, safe, and loved during their journey.

Meet & Greet (30-45 minutes)

We provide a one-time complimentary home consultation to assess your pet’s specific needs and answer any questions or concerns you may have. Our goal is to offer the best possible service for both you and your pets. Simply contact us by phone or by email, and we’ll coordinate to schedule a meet & greet.

A meet-and-greet is required prior to booking a taxi service. We require proof of the following vaccines: Dogs -Rabies, DHPP and Cats – Rabies, FVRCP prior to booking a taxi service.

Safety First

When transporting pets, they will be safely secured in the van with our dog seatbelts which attach to their harness(harnesses are not included, owner supplies the harness). Our van is also equipped with a range of kennel sizes to accommodate different size dogs. Cats are welcomed and must be in a carrier at the time of pick-up. We prioritize your pet’s safety! We regularly clean & disinfect our vehicle

Rides to & from Day care, Boarding , Grooming, Veterinary appointments & Weddings

  • 24 hours in advance. You can schedule an appointment by email or calling us.

  • $46.00 (0-10 Mile radius each way) from the pick up & drop off location; Round trips must be completed on the same day.

    After the initial 20 mile round trip radius; any additional miles will be $1.25 per mile.

  • $26.00 (0-10 Mile radius) from the pick up or drop off location. After the initial 10 mile one way radius ; any additional miles will be $1.25 per mile.

  • Please take a moment to review and sign our waiver of liability policy before booking. By proceeding with your reservation, you acknowledge that you understand and agree to the terms outlined in our terms of agreement.

  • At Waggin Taxi, we understand that emergencies can arise unexpectedly, and we’re here to provide safe, reliable, and efficient transportation for your pet during an emergency veterinary visit. Please review our policy carefully to understand the service fees and your responsibilities during the transportation process.

    Service Area and Base Fee for Emergency- Same Day trips:
      A one-way transportation fee of $65 applies within a 0-10 mile radius of the pick-up location.
      The base fee includes curbside pickup of a leashed dog.
      Our drivers will not enter private residences for pick-up or drop-off.
      Pets must be able to walk to the vehicle unassisted.

    Round-Trip Fee:
    An additional $55 round-trip fee applies if return transportation is required on the same day.
    Trips must occur within Waggin Taxi’s operating hours.
    Transportation beyond operating hours is subject to additional charges and availability.

    Additional Fees:
    The owner or designated representative is required to provide lift assistance if the pet needs help entering the vehicle. If additional assistance is needed, Waggin Taxi will provide lift help for an additional fee. The fee will be calculated based on the pet’s weight, as outlined below:
    Up to 30 lbs: $10
    31-50 lbs: $15
    51-75 lbs: $20
    76 lbs and above: $25
    Please ensure that you are available to assist or let us know in advance if you would like to add this service.

    ***Waggin Taxi only provides transportation for pets—the owner or designated representative is required to meet the pet at the veterinary hospital for the visit. We do not transport owners.
    ***Waggin Taxi does not transport deceased pets.

    Ensure that your pet is ready for pickup at the designated time. The driver will arrive within the agreed-upon timeframe.

    Please notify us in advance if your pet has any special medical needs or travel requirements.

    $25 per 30 minutes (1 hour Max) from scheduled appointment time.

    Service Areas include : Bergen, Essex & Passaic Counties (Belleville, Bloomfield, Caldwell, Carlstadt, Cedar Grove, Clifton, East Rutherford, Elmwood Park, Fairfield, Fair Lawn, Garfield, Glen Ridge, Hasbrouck Heights, Hawthorne, Little Falls, Lodi, Montclair, North Caldwell, Nutley, Paterson, Totowa, Wayne, Woodland Park & Wood-Ridge.

  • We understand that plans can change, and we strive to be as flexible as possible. However, to ensure we can continue offering the best service to all of our clients, we have the following cancellation policy:

    1. Cancellation Notice:
      We require a minimum of 24 hours’ notice for any cancellations or rescheduling of appointments. This allows us to adjust our schedule and offer the time to other pets in need of transport. Cancellations made within 24 hours’ of the scheduled pick-up time will receive full refund.

    2. Same day cancellations:
      Cancellations made on the same day as the scheduled pick-up time will incur a charge of 50% of the total invoice for the scheduled fare.

    3. No-Shows:
      If we arrive for a scheduled pick-up and the pet is not available for transport, a full charge of the scheduled fare will apply.

    4. Weather-Related Cancellations:
      In the case of extreme weather conditions or other unforeseen circumstances that may affect safety, we may need to cancel or reschedule your appointment. You will be notified as early as possible. If your appointment is canceled due to weather, you will receive a full refund.
